Adrian de Krom:
(Adrian) founder and President of national polymer laboratories, has worked in the field of Polymer Science for the past 20 years. Over the course of his career, he has worked for General Electric, Day-Glo Color Corporation, Master Builders, Avery Dennison, Chemsultants and NSL Analytical. He has developed Lubricants, Paints, Coatings, Inks, Adhesives, Composites and Elastomers. He has experience in polymer synthesis and scale-up. Adrian earned his M.S. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Akron.
Kushal Baid Ph.D:
(Kushal) has over 25 years of industrial experience in technology innovation and new product development working with Xerox, Avery Dennison, Champion International and Union Carbide. His last position was as the Director of Technology for Jenmar Visual systems. Kushal earned his doctorate in Chemical Engineering at University of Delaware.
Robert Bucholz:
(Bob) has over 25 years of experience in printing and converting technologies, including conventional and digital inks, print receptive coatings, papers and film media. Bob spent nearly 15 years at Avery Dennison in technical positions managing paper and film product developments. He has also worked in other technical management positions contributing to numerous coating company start-ups producing PSA backed printable media. Bob has a B.S. in Printing Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
John Gooch:
(John) has over 40 years experience in the flexible calendered vinyl industry, in both Technical and Commercial roles.His last position was as the Director of Sales and Marketing of vinyls for the PSA market at American Renolit Corporation. He spent the last 25 years developing the calendered vinyl film business for the Graphics market in Europe and the U.S. His extensive experience includes high gloss opaque and translucent vinyl films, print feedstock and overlaminating films for digital printing. John is a Chartered Chemist (Royal Institute of Chemistry, UK) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
Richard Katona:
(Dick) has over 40 years experience in the (PVC) vinyl industry. His focus has always been in the area of formulations. He held chemist positions at many companies producing vinyl products, He has extensive experience in vinyl compounding and processing. Dick spent over 20 years at Avery Dennison developing vinyl films for the graphics and reflective markets.
Robert Shaw:
(Bob) has over 40 years experience in the adhesive industry. His focus has always been in the area of formulations. He held chemist positions at MACtac, Adhesive Consultants and Chemsultants where he assisted hundreds of companies with product improvements through the use of adhesive technology. Bob holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Baldwin Wallace University.
Caryl Sherman:
Caryl has worked in the paint and coatings market for more than 40 years, with the first 12 years of her career in research and development. She developed a line of metal oxide pigments and has patents in the micro-encapsulation of pigments. She has worked for Ferro, American Cyanamid, Huber, Troy and EPSCCA, and has been involved with colorants, biocides, additives, polymers, monomers and fillers. As a result, she has extensive knowledge in formulating coatings. Caryl holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry and Biology.
William Stofey:
(Bill) has almost 50 years of experience in all aspects of lubrication technology. He has in-depth experience in the formulation of lubricants for transportation, metalworking, and fluid power applications. He also has a thorough knowledge of lubricant additives; including polymeric viscosity improvers and tackifiers, organometallic anti-wear additives, friction modifiers, and others. He pioneered novel filtration processes for the reclaimation of high viscosity drawing lubricants. Bill began his career at Lubrizol and founded American Ultra Specialties, an oil reclaimation company dedicated to high quality reclaimed products and “green” technology. Bill holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering.
Larry Lince:
Over 25 years in product development with extensive new product and application development expertise, as well as expertise in quality control, process engineering, and customer technical service. Worked for Fortune 500 manufacturer of pressure-sensitive adhesive products and worked extensively with paper manufacturers and other component suppliers. Strengths include product development processes and tools, project management, trained in Six Sigma tools and processes, paper manufacturing, film manufacturing, adhesive coating processes, communication skills, and team building, with working expertise in marketing, sales, and financial analysis.
